Rosella
The rosella is a beautiful and popular parakeet. They are bright colored birds and as such are extremely attractive both for nature levels and for exotic pet bird keepers.

- Pale Headed Rosella
The Golden mantled Rosella is a very active bird, as are all rosellas. Rosellas love climbing and playing with toys. They also love to chew, as all rosella owners know!
Rosellas are considered relatively easy to care for compared to most other exotic birds. They are also not difficult to breed if you can find a suitable mate.
Rosellas are highly energetic birds and they do require consistent training to tame them to make suitable pets. Most beginner exotic birdkeepers would not choose a rosella as their first bird species due to the training involved in taming them.
Rosellas are naturally quite aggressive towards birds of their own species and towards other parakeets. Generally you would not want to house rosellas together unless they are breeding. Even if they are in a side by side aviary but in full view of each other they will peck at the cage to get to each other.
